Diego Costa leaves Atlético for personal reasons

“Atlético Madrid and Diego Costa have agreed to terminate the striker’s contract, which will elapse on June 30, 2021,” the club states. Atlético coach Diego Simeone has praised for him saying “Diego gave everything” to Atlético.
“He has played well for us and given us his all and Atlético has given him much too,” Simeone told reporters.
“Diego needs a new challenge, and he is in great physical condition and good form. Whichever club he plays for will enjoy him as he is strong like a bull and a fighter. Costa, 32, came back to Atlético from his short stint at Chelsea in January 2018 for a reported fee of €68 million after spending three seasons at Chelsea l.
His first year in Madrid was a huge success because he won the league with them in 2013-14 and reached the Champions League final only beating in extra time by Real Madrid.
Costa scored 28 league goals the same year as the Atlético Madrid team won their first league championship in 19 years. However, he seems to start having problems with management this season, though both denied it, such cracks are obvious. It is reported that Arsenal and Wolves are interested in securing his signature.
